Frequently Asked Questions Regarding the Newsletter.

If you don’t find an answer to your question here, please ask your question by leaving a comment in the box below.

  1. Question: Why Don’t I get the newsletter every week?
Put the Peggy Jo Studio address ” peggyjo@peggyjostudio.ccsend.com” in your email contact (address) list.

From time to time your ISP (The name that follows @ in your email address ( Internet Service Provider) changes it’s delivery procedures and limits. For instance, if the size of the email is greater than some number that changes, the email will be routed to your bulk email Or if for some reason your ISP decides that the email could be spam, it will route it to your spam email box. The solution is to look in these boxes and take the actions that your ISP specifies to label the emails properly.
You might have to call your ISP’s customer service to find out how to receive your emali.
You might have been removed from our list because:
You unsubscribed to one of the in between newsletter messages which puts you in the “do not mail” category and only you can correct list ( See item 3 below).
You forwarded a newsletter to a friend or friends and one of them unsubscribed. Because your email address is embedded in the newsletter, you get put on the “do not mail ” category and only you can correct list ( See item 3 below)

After the newsletter is sent each week, a copy is placed in the archives which can be reached here.

Your email address was moved to the “Do Not Mail Category” . You might have inadvertently labeled it as spam along with a bunch of of other emails. In this case you are the only one who can get yourself back on the mailing list. See: Getting your email address back on the list below.

  2. Question: When I click on what I think is a link, nothing happens. Please explain.
    • Usually when one sees some text that is colored and underlined, the expectation is that it is a hyperlink. However in some rare cases the underlining and colorization is just for emphasis. If you place the cursor over the text in question, look at the status bar at the bottom right of the window. If the text is a link, then you will see the address of the link in the status bar if not then the text is not a link.
    • If the text in question is a link and a simple click does not bring up the new page, then use your right mouse button to click. That should display a drop down menu with some options. Select the option “open in a new tab’ or ‘open in a new window’.
If the link is not broken (does not point to a valid web page) it will be displayed.
  3. Question: How do I get back on the mailing list?
    • Go to http://www.peggyjostudio.com.
    • Scroll down to the bottom left corner of the window.
    • Enter your email address and click on the submit screen button .
    • You will be routed to a page with boxes for information about you and check boxes for your interests. Complete this form and click on the screen button ‘submit’.
    • Another screen will be presnted informing you that the system has sent an email to the address you entered requesting that you verify your wish to be placed on the mailing list.
    • Stay on line and go to your mail program. You should receive an email message shortly.
    • Open that Email and click on the link to verify your subscription
  4. Question: How do I make sure that my ISP does not put the newsletter into “Junk Mail” or “Bulk Mail”?
The newsletter is actually mailed from peggyjo@peggyjostudio.ccsend.com. put this email address in your contact list.
  5. Question: How do I get the newsletter when I am on the Road? After sending the newsletter of each Monday, the current newsletter is uploaded to the Archive that can be accessed at here
  6. Question:How do I enter information about an event? Just click here
  7. How do I forward this newsletter to a friend?
At the bottom of each edition of the newsletter is a link to a Constant Contact application to safely forward the newsletter to a friend or friends. Just forwarding it, exposes you to the situation that the person who receives your forwarded nessage could use the unsubscribe function and since your email address is embedded in the newsletter, you will be dropped from the mailing list.
  8. What is javascript and do I need it?
Usually what you see on the screen is composed at a remote site, called a server, and transmitted to your site where your browser interprets the code and produces what you see. If there is a need to alter the page because you clicked on something, a message is sent back to the server where actions are taken and then the server sends another message back to you. What javascript can do is bypass that roundtrip and change your screen with code that is hidden from view but can perform operations on your page directly. Certain pages require that javascript is enabled in your browser. This is where you can find how you can turn it on or off.
