This Week's Now "Famous Person"

Phoung Le is now famous because she is appearing in the "Got Mustard Campaign" .. You can see the other 500 people by clicking on the underlines words above. She splits her time between Michigan and Maui, Hawaii. We know it is a tough life but she seems to be bearing up just fine. Phoung is the proprietor of Ono Tea and is known as the " Tea Chick". There are almost 500 people who have volunteered to participate and we have found it necessary to change the way the slide show runs so that people can browse rather than wait to see their photo with the "digital mustard" on their upper lip. One can enter their first name and only the slides that contain that name are displayed. If you had your photo taken and can't find it in the slide show please send us an email. Never Use the Cruise Control on Your Car When the Pavement is Wet or Icy

Supposedly if the cruise control is on when your car begins to hydro-plane and your tires lose contact with
the pavement, your car will accelerate to a higher rate of speed making you take off like an airplane.

NOTE: Some vehicles (like the Toyota Sienna Limited XLE) will not allow you to set the cruise control when the windshield
wipers are on.

In last weeks issue we announced that Marth was using the same "WordPress" software to power her blog, but for some reason the news feed is not working.

As more organizations have elected to submit their events to the Peggy Jo Studio Newsletter it has increased the size of the file that we send to you each Monday morning. Because the file is larger, some of you do not receive the information on Monday and maybe not at all. Sometimes, because of it's size, your internet service provider routes it to your bulk mail or even your spam folder.

With the blog, we can introduce a topic in the newsletter and provide a link to the blog which can give you more details.

Another feature of the blog is that each day's events will be listed on the "Events and News " page with a map to the event's venue. Below is the link to the blog. It will also contain any up-to-date information and/or announcements.

Stuff a miniature marshmallow in the bottom of a sugar cone to prevent ice cream drips.	Just suck the ice cream out of the bottom of the cone, for Pete’s sake! You are probably lying on the couch with your feet up eating it, anyway!
To keep potatoes from budding, place an apple in the bag with the potatoes.	Buy Hungry Jack mashed potato mix, keep it in the pantry for up to a year.
When a cake recipe calls for flouring the baking pan, use a bit of the dry cake mix instead and there won’t be any white mess on the outside of the cake.	Go to the bakery! They’ll even decorate it for you.
If you accidentally oversalt a dish while it’s still cooking, drop in a peeled potato and it will absorb the excess salt for an instant “fix-me-up.”	If you oversalt a dish while you are cooking, that’s too bad. Please recite with me the real woman’s motto: “I made it and you will eat it and I don’t care how bad it tastes!”
Wrap celery in aluminum foil when putting in the refrigerator and it will keep for weeks.	Celery? Never heard of it!
Brush some beaten egg white over pie crust before baking to yield a beautiful glossy finish.	The Mrs. Smith frozen pie directions do not include brushing egg whites over the crust so I don’t.
Cure for headaches: take a lime, cut it in half and rub it on your forehead. The throbbing will go away.	Take a lime, mix it with tequila, chill and drink!
If you have a problem opening jars, try using latex dishwashing gloves. They give a non-slip grip that makes opening jars easy.	Go ask that very cute neighbor if he can open it for you.
Don’t throw out all that leftover wine. Freeze into ice cubes for future use in casseroles and sauces.	Leftover wine??????????? HELLO !!!!!!!

There are several parking lots around there south of Nine Mile--- I believe they are free on the weekends. There should also be some street parking on Nine Mile and on Troy (first street south of Nine Mile).

Hey all - just gauging interest in getting a local group of runners together a couple times a week for long distance runs in the area. It's always easier to stay motivated when you've got others to run with, and all ages/speeds are welcome. Let me know if you're interested and we can start trying to work out a schedule.
