Clint Eastwood on a roll in Royal Oak

Clint Eastwood is filming and starring in "Gran Torino" ( about a 1972 Ford Gran Torino that a Hmong teen tries to steal and a Korean War veteran's efforts to reform the youth ) .
The film crew has shot scenes at Widgren's Barbershop on Eleven Mile near Washington Avenue in Royal Oak which has been renamed Martin's Barber Shop for the movie.

Other scenes were filmed in Grosse Pointe Park and also in Highland Park . There is no release date for the movie at this time but conventional wisdom says that it will probably be available early next year. Peggy Jo will appear in the movie.

Got Mustard Campaign

Kevin appears to be very happy about Charley's Ballpark Mustard. Although he is much too young to be considered a volunteer for the "Got Mustard ???" campaign, that features famous people that you might know, his mother Karen is. They might not have been famous until they appeared on the internet in this campaign. There is a special webpage called "Got Mustard ???" that shows all of the 280 volunteers. (At publication time, we still have photos that have not been processed)

Note: Kevin's mother wants everyone to know that she did not actually give Kevin any mustard because he is still on baby food, but she thinks it was a cute idea for us to paint his upper lipwith digital mustard and put his picture on the internet so that the whole world would see how cute he is..

Comcast is At it Again.

Last week we heard from numerous people who complained that they did not get their newsletter on Monday. All of them were using Comcast. We don't know if Comcast will deliver the email this week so we are asking all of our readers who know other readers that are using Comcast to relay the following information to them:

1. Comcast admitted to the FTC that on occasion they do delay email in order to better serve their customers during busy times. They did promise to correct the problem.
2. We recommend that all users confirm that they do want to receive this newsletter by calling their local Comcast office and reporting that fact..
3. We also recommend that they contact their federal representatives if the practice continues.

This newsletter has been emailed each Monday for the past 242 weeks between 12:05 AM and 4:00 AM. and all should expect that it is in their email box on Monday. We realize that this useful document is not the most important email.that you receive each week but we submit that if it is not relayed to you what other documents are you not receiving?
