Some Gas Pumping Tips I Received!!

Gasoline is a highly volatile liquid that vaporizes with rising temperatures and exposure to the air.

If you don't know what kind of mileage you are getting now, try a tank full of gas and calculate the mileage.

Then:

  1. Start buying your gas as early in the morning as possible when the underground storage tanks are cool and the gasoline is less vaporized.
  2. Fill your tank when it is still half full to eliminate as much air in the tank as possible. The air vaporizes the gasoline and it evaporates.
  3. When filling the tank, use the lowest speed on the pump handle so that less of the gasoline is evaporated.

Avoid filling you tank if you know the delivery truck just filled the underground tanks which stirs up all the dirt that normally sinks to the bottom of the underground tank.

Try the above three steps and see if it improves your mileage and give us some feedback. Is it worth the trouble? Engineers, chemists please chime in !!

This noted panel of health care experts will address the realities of the economics of providing quality care at an affordable price.
46th Annual Meeting The program will feature a panel of experts discussing the future of the United States health care system -- problems, fundamental fixes needed, and what the different solutions proposed by presidential candidates could cost in terms of dollars and quality of care. One model to be reviewed is actuarial insurance, which could impact everyone differently based on individual's health.
Cathy Tripp, Watson Wyatt Worldwide, National Leader of Consumerism, will discuss key findings in a recent survey on the costs and benefits of consumer-directed health care plans.
Nick Barr, Ph.D, Professor of Public Economics, London School of Economics, will discuss the premise that there is no perfect system of healthcare; the model of actuarial insurance and its unsuitability for many medical risks; and how it is no accident that the U.S. system is in a mess and indicates strategic solutions.
Nancy Schlichting, CEO Henry Ford Health System, will talk about the quality equation and how the actuarial insurance model impacts health care delivery.
Kate Kohn-Parrott, Group Director from Chrysler Corporation, will address the business perspective of what the actuarial insurance model does to the economics of running a business and paying salaries that people can actually live on.
This will be followed up with an open discussion about alternative health care models and what areas within the U.S. system could be improved.

There will be 2 courts, 4 people to a team and 8 people to a court. While 16 persons are playing, 16 will eat dinner and everyone will rotate at the end of each game. Everyone will have a chance to play and to enjoy the food. Note: Similar rules as Feather Bowling. Everyone takes a turn throwing the large wooden ball to roll closest to a smaller ball called the pallino. The team rolling closest to the ball gets the point and the team with the most points at the end of the evening wins the prize(s). If you've never played this before, you need to come out and give it a try. It's a game you will really enjoy.
