The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him,
and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to
him in song. " Forward this issue to your friends using the form that will appear when you click here 2008 National Day of Prayer
Because of the faith of many of our founding fathers, public prayer and national days of prayer have a long-standing and significant history in American tradition. The Supreme Court affirmed the right of state legislatures to open their sessions with prayer in Marsh vs. Chambers (1983). Shain Park in Birmingham will be the site of our National Day of Prayer meeting. We will gather at 11:45:. We invite all and are looking for organizational and publicity help. Please contact us at peggyjo@peggyjostudio.com Free phone information from GoogleEven if you do not have a mobile phone, you can get free information for Goog-411. Just dial 1-800-goog-411 or 1-800-466-4411.. One can see a video that explains this by clicking here., It only works with business phone number listings- no resisdential. We have tried it on a mobile phone and it works great. The map function is a little more complex and if you are not a thumb proficient text sender., it takes a lot of time to access the information via the web. Goog-411 sends a URL address to your mobile phone text box, if during you conversation with the robot you say map. Then you have to access the web to get the information. A good way to use this system is to place the Goog-411 address in your contact list and assign it a speed dial number. Then if you are in your car looking for a place , one can use the speed dial to access the system. Then you are asked for the city and State.(you can speak or enter a zip code) Then the robot voice will ask for the name of the business or category. The voice will then perform a search and will present the results one by one. at any time you can select one of the choices and Goog-411 will dial the number. You can also get a text message with the phone number.
From our readers:Dear Peggy Jo, K.M. Dear K.M., We placed the details of the fundraiser in the event database. See the details under saturday's events. Peggy Jo

What are they and what will it cost in $$$$$ and care depending on the different solutions proposed by presidential candidates. This noted panel of health care experts will address the realities of the economics of providing quality care at an affordable price. 46th Annual Meeting The program will feature a panel of experts discussing the future of the United States health care system -- problems, fundamental fixes needed, and what the different solutions proposed by presidential candidates could cost in terms of dollars and quality of care. One model to be reviewed is actuarial insurance, which could impact everyone differently based on individual's health. Cathy Tripp, Watson Wyatt Worldwide, National Leader of Consumerism, will discuss key findings in a recent survey on the costs and benefits of consumer-directed health care plans. Nick Barr, Ph.D, Professor of Public Economics, London School of Economics, will discuss the premise that there is no perfect system of healthcare; the model of actuarial insurance and its unsuitability for many medical risks; and how it is no accident that the U.S. system is in a mess and indicates strategic solutions. Nancy Schlichting, CEO Henry Ford Health System, will talk about the quality equation and how the actuarial insurance model impacts health care delivery. Kate Kohn-Parrott, Group Director from Chrysler Corporation, will address the business perspective of what the actuarial insurance model does to the economics of running a business and paying salaries that people can actually live on. This will be followed up with an open discussion about alternative health care models and what areas within the U.S. system could be improved. Inforum's 2008-08 board of directors and officers also will be inducted at this annual meeting. 11:30 a.m. - Registration and VIP Reception 12 noon - Lunch 12:15 p.m. - Panel Discussion To reserve Corporate Gratis tickets please call Kristen Linegar at 313.578.3227.
