Apple's I-Pad to Revolutionize Publishing

Peggy Jo recently visited the Apple Store at the Somerset Collection to see how her home page and newsletter appeared on the new I-Pad and was pleased with it's rendering. (see photo above).

Experts are predicting that the I-Pad tablet PC, which is aimed at the consumer of the internet and starting at $495, will bring many more users who are not computer literate on to the Internet.The I-Pad is the first of some tablet personal computers that will emphasize ease of use. They will provide email, internet browsing, games,and book readng all on a simple to use integrated graphical tablet. People who now just use there personal computer for email will be introduced to a whole new world.

All of the security problems now confronting novice users will be excaberated which makes the following project so much more important.

What is safe on the Internet ???

John Nordquist is publisher of The Daily Kenoshan (www.dailykenoshan.com) an online news and information web site in the metropolitan Chicago-Milwaukee corridor. Nordquist began developing web sites at the University of Chicago in 1990, and later worked with Xerox, various public school systems, and U.S. Courts in developing safe, secure web environments.

Nordquist will be able to answer your questions and offer advice on safe web browsing practices, what to watch out for, how to recognize scams and avoid the traps along the way. Send your questions here and then watch for the answers here and in the blog.

Prescription Drug Article well received

Jacquie Tiegs, a freelance writer, has written an article concerning Prescription Drugs which is in the Peggy Jo Studio Blog which you can reach by clicking here.

She has covered such topics as: How to save money on your prescriptions, How you can reach the State of Michigan prescription price database, How to find a new group of pharmacies, How to get prescriptions filled with Canadian pharmacies and other tips. click on the link to see her article.

Many people visited the article and clicked on some of her resources but none left any comments. We feel that this is an indication that people are wary of the internet and need some advice which is why John Nordquist's help is needed (see article above). John needs your questions.

Meijer campaign gaining steam

Charley, "The Singing Hot Dog Man" at Comerica Park started his season vendiing and singing at the Tiger's on oppening day at Comerica Park. Imitation is said to be the ultimate compliment and Cleveland now has a "Singing Hotdog Man" and a ballpark mustard.

. "Charley's BallPark Mustard". is already in many stores , such as Hillers, Holiday, Westborn are already carrying his product. (here is a list) It would be a big boost to his sales if all of his friends and fans, would talk to a manager at one of the Meijers stores in the area and ask them if they carry his product.

Port Huron to Mackinack Race Alternative.

The Cocktail race will be the first start on Saturday morning on the weekend of Bayview Yacht Club's annual Port Huron to Mackinack race. They will not sail all night but will stop at various ports along the way for cocktails, dinner and a good nights sleep before continung on the next morning.

Commodore Bob Cowles has posted the notice of race on the blog and you can see it here. His latest news is that there are already 14 boats registered for the race in July. Go to the blog and let commodore Cowles know you are interested in entering your boat or if you would like to crew.
